Getting Started

I gave up cigarettes in July of 2006.  Five years later, I finally felt comfortable enough to give cigars a try.  A few smokes later, after I realized they weren't going to make me want a cigarette again, I decided to drop some bucks on a small humidor and began trying out different cigars.  The blog is just a way to keep a record of the results of my stogie-sampling.

The humidor I got, came with a 25-pack of  Thompson Cigar's Don Lugos.  The were pretty unremarkable.  Neither good nor bad.  But for the price, what can you expect?  I won't be buying them separately, but they'll make for an acceptable filler between orders of better smokes.

As for the cap, well, I was hoping for the Cuban Mistake hat but the black Thompson hat isn't a bad freebie.
